She was sharing her anxiety about her husband being out of town for two weeks and started to realize how much she relies on him to do certain things for their family. In the time he was gone she was worried about how she was going to do everything by herself for her family.
All I could do was smile. Gods timing is perfect. My husband is out of town for a week and I woke up for the millionth time because he gets the big kids ready for school in the morning and gets my beloved Dunkin Donuts coffee for me every morning. I was so afraid to oversleep and have the kids be late that I couldn’t sleep! He knew I needed reassurance and reading her email did just that.
My two sweet boys are suffering from a virus, I’m pretty sure they’ve now passed it to me (funny how that works huh?) My threenager thinks she runs the house and refused to go to bed last night until about 11:30 when she finally fell out from sheer exhaustion. And my four month old, bless her heart, she just has to eat every two hours. My nine year old cries her eyes out if she can’t take the bus to school in the morning. How in all this craziness am I going to be up on time and not be cranky the entire rest of the day?
Then as I’m in my feelings I read Crystals email. She’s going through the same thing! She serves on this huge platform and I’m thinking to myself mommies everywhere have got it together with their little Pinterest ready homes, and schedules, and I’m just out here winging it. That’s not true!
Moms everywhere share the same fears, anxiety, sickness, sleepless nights, excitement, joys, and feelings. That’s why it’s critical to not only write, blog, speak, or share when things are going well but when they aren’t too. Some mama needs to know she’s not alone!
We are far from perfect and I think God likes it that way so we can rely on Him and not always the people around us. He woke me up on time today. He will be there for me even in my most loneliest moments. And He’s there for you in yours too.
We are the same mamas, just different colors, shapes, and sizes but we all share the same heart.
As Crystal reminded me, let me remind you. You are capable of amazing things and you’re much smarter than you think!
