After my incident with discovering my children had seen something they should not have seen online I made it my mission to make sure I surrounded them with positive media and programming on ALL internet devices. I happened to be reading another blog and hear about Jelly Telly TV.
It’s an app just for kids with videos and movies that are both fun and uplifting! Your kids can watch faith-friendly shows like What’s In The Bible?, VeggieTales, Friends and Heroes and more! There are over 90 Christian shows to watch and we get a weekly devotional to use with our family.
It’s nice because I can send it to my TV and we can all watch it together and then discuss. I’ve always wanted to do a family worship night but we haven’t been able to structure it the way I’d like (it’s very hard getting five kids to sit down in one area for more than a few minutes). These devotionals give us a start without having to listen to me read another book. Everyone even my 1 and 3 year old can watch and learn!
My kids are all into Veggie Tales and they LOVE the movies and episodes. It gives a great space for them to watch their favorite shows over and over again without me having to worry about the content or value.
If you’re working on creating a gospel centered home, check it out and get your first week free and see if your kids love it too!
