Welcome to Day 5 of the Cultivating a Heart for Home Challenge!!
If you’re all caught up, great! Go and grab your binder and your Glory Goals Worksheet.
If you have no idea what I’m talking about go back and review Day 4.
Today we are digging deep into our Glory Goals. Remember this challenge is not only about what we want to have happen in our homes but what God wants to have happen in our home. As with anything we will affirm and confirm with the word of God.
Let’s take a look at your glory goals that you wrote out yesterday. What are some of the common words that you used in the functionality table and glory goal table?
For example an eye chart in the bathroom section the functionality was that we needed to clean our bodies and without glory Coles we needed to take care of our temples because we recognize that our bodies are not our own. How do I know what the Bible says about bodies? Where would I find scripture regarding this?
If you have a Bible commentary you can look up some of those common words or themes and search up Bible for scripture that speaks to you. If you do not own a Bible commentary that’s OK you can rely on your good friend Google.
Type in your search engine “What does the Bible say concerning __?” You’re going to type in those common themes or words in the blank. My good friend Google is going to send you a list of scripture that you can read through. My suggestion is to write down at least 4 to 5 scripture references per Glory Goal.
You’re going to use the Glory Goal Worksheet: Scripture References Sheet to write out your scripture references.
